Coordinated Mitigation Control for Wideband Harmonic of the Photovoltaic Grid-Connected Inverter

Under the current trend of power electronics in energy systems, a high percentage renewable transports clean to grid through grid-connected inverters. The pulse-width modulation (PWM) technique brings high-order harmonics near switching frequency, and LCL filters with low-pass characteristics become common choice for However, low-order caused by nonideal are difficult filter out, new resonance point introduced causes security problem systems. Firstly, generation mechanism 6 k ± 1 order harmonic high-frequency from PV inverter is analyzed. Then, virtual resistor constructed active damping method absorb resonant component. Meanwhile, this paper also presents an adaptive voltage compensation decrease harmonics. Finally, actual measured data user photovoltaic (PV) multiple comparative simulations verify these theories. Simulation results show that proposed coordinated control algorithm reduces peak point, rate mitigation more than 50%. suitable various operating conditions.
